Lourdes Willhite
General Dentist - Practice Limited to Children
I am originally from Mexico, but I have long made Texas my home. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my two amazing daughters. I also enjoy running, reading and going to the movies.
Education and Continuing Education
I attended the University of Texas at El Paso, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. I then moved to San Antonio and began working at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, studying skeletal muscle regeneration; during this time, I also contributed to several publications.
In 2012, I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). I graduated with Distinction in Education and received the Women's Faculty Leadership and Community Service awards.
I regularly attend continuing education courses in order to stay up to date on the latest best practices and keep up to date on new developments. I am also a part of several organizations, such as:
- American Dental Association
- Texas Dental Association
- American Academy of Pediatric Dentists
Commitment to the Community
I love treating children, and I am determined to help them overcome their fears by creating a safe and fun environment during their dental visits. Being a mom myself, I understand the many challenges children face during their younger years. I can't wait to meet your kiddos and welcome them to our office!
